Managers emphasize the things people do wrong. Leaders emphasize the things people do right in the business.
Managers order people to do things. Leaders inspire people to do things.
Managers set goals. Leaders set visions.

So we had some great comments on the recent post on developing your skills. A couple more important things for you to consider:
#1) You can’t look good and get better at the same time.
The way to do great invitations (or anything else) is to do good ones first. And the way to do good ones, is to do bad ones first. The person that makes the most invitations will always win out.
#2) Your past does not have to determine your future.
That’s what amateurs think. But professionals know they can grow and change, and that skill sets can be developed. Write this down and post it on your computer:
Don’t let who you have been interfere with who you can become!

So your brother-in-law can explain all the reasons why Network Marketing doesn’t work. I bet he can explain reasons why a lot of things don’t work. That’s because he’s a loser.
Has he ever built a large network? If not, he’s the last person in the world you should be taking advice from.
What you want to be doing is taking advise from a success team that has a proven track record of helping people build large networks that throws off ever increasing residual cash streams.
Just because your Uncle Herb was in Amway for two months doesn’t make him an expert. And just because your cousins Pookie and Ray-Ray were in Herbalife for two weeks five years ago, doesn’t qualify them to teach you about success.
You don’t need people around you explaining why it won’t work. You have to be counseling with people that can teach you how it can work.
If you want to fly planes, learn from a flight instructor. If you want to climb mountains, talk to a mountain climber. If you want to build a large network with residual income, talk only to someone that has done it successfully.
Want to be rich? Stop taking advice from broke people!
